As CEO he heads the firm's management, development, investment,
consulting, and marketing activities.
Has over thirty years of extensive hands-on experience as a real estate
developer, counselor, investor, broker, and manager of commercial,
office, industrial, manufacturing and healthcare projects.
Has developed, leased, and financed a 160,000 sq. ft.
distribution center for Siemens Energy & Automation, a 60,000 sq. ft.
warehousing for the Timken Company, a 43,000 sq. ft. and a 52,000 sq. ft.
manufacturing facility.
Developed, leased and financed an 86,000 sq. ft. headquarters
office building for Bell & Howell, an 80,000 sq. ft. office building leased to
Aetna Life Insurance, a 24,000 sq. ft. and a 50,000 sq. ft. ambulatory center
for OhioHealth, and a 162,000 sq. ft. and a 120,000 sq. ft. speculative
industrial distribution center.
Acquired office buildings of 125,000 sq. ft., 200,000 sq. ft.,
460,000 sq. ft. and 180 acres for a bank corporate campus project valued
respectively at $13,000,000, $22,000,000, $16,000,000 and $10,000,000.
Advisor for Taft Hartly Ohio and Michigan pension fund's real estate
investment portfolio of over $100 million and over $170 million.
Senior Vice President with the national development firm of John W.
Galbreath & Co. from 1983 to 1990. He directed their national
marketing program for over 10 million sq. ft. of commercial office
space, valued at over $500 million and directed the negotiation of over 100
leases annually. He also acquired, disposed, financed, restructured and
consulted on projects from $1 million to over $100 million.
Prior to 1983, owner of Carey Realty in Buffalo, New York and
was previously employed by a brokerage company and international development
firm, Hammerson Properties.
Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Canisius
College. Real estate broker licenses are currently held in Ohio,
Kentucky, Tennessee and New York and he is a Certified Commercial
Investment Member (CCIM) designee and Counselors of Real Estate (CRE)
member.
Currently, the chairman of the $13 billion Fifth Third Funds,
chairman of the Ohio/Kentucky Chapter of Counselors of Real Estate, board
member of the Catholic Foundation chairing the Investment
Committee, and has served as a board member of the Columbus and national boards
of National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP),
the Columbus Theatrical Association, Franklin County Republican Party Finance
Committee, and the City of Columbus Development Commission.
